The post that wasn't

I have some pictures to show you today, but unfortunately my blogger won't let me upload them. When I try to upload them, they show up as a little white box with a red X inside. If any of you know what the reason for this is, and what I can do to fix it, please let me know. This is SOOO annoying!!!

I suggest everyone of you go and check out that video, and if you don't want to make a card after watching the video, then you are not the type of person that I want reading my blog anyway!!..lol. Honestly guys here is the link....go and check it out!!!

Cow and Chickens??

I have a new card to post for you all today. I made this card using a stamp from Penny Black that I got from Morning Star Ink in Alberta. I have ordered from them a couple of times, and always get great service and my stamps always arrive in a couple of days.

On this card I used Stampin' Up!'s Green Galore Cardstock for the base. I stamped the crosshatch stamp on the base with Green Galore ink. The Cow and Chickens is stamped on SU Whisper white, and colored with prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits. The other colors on this card are Rose Red and Garden green. The happy birthday stamp is from Stampin' Up, and the "birthday" is punched out with the word window punch from Stampin' Up! Ribbon is from All My Memories. I hope you like this card. I think it is a fun spring card!!

I also want to share one more card with you. I received this card from my friend, Cindy Baillie. She gave it to me on my last day of work in Melville. It is soooo cute, and I love that the image is actually paper that she bought. I thought she had stamped it. Also the writing on the card is done by her, doesn't she have excellent calligraphy skills. Mine never looks this good!!

The paper that Cindy used is by Rusty Pickle and is called Let's Do Lunch. And, after she gave me this card, she also gave me a whole page of the paper too (and a few other papers by Rusty Pickle). What a great friend, I am so lucky!!! Hey Cin, if you read this... I miss you girl!!

Ribbon, Ribbon, Ribbon

Me and my Mom took part on a ribbon share from Confessions of a Ribbon Addict, and we got our May Arts ribbon yesterday. It's all sitting in Melville waiting for me to pick it up on Tuesday. My Mom was nice enough to send me a picture, so I could drool too. I think you should drool too!!, so here it is...lol...

I had plans to get so many cards done today, but ended up spending most of my day on the phone. My best friend, Michelle, gave me a call this morning. We do not get a chance to talk very often, but when we do it is always a 3 hour...or more...gabfest!! We try to make sure we actually have time to talk before phoning, because even though we think we can get off the phone in an hour or so, when we actually look at the clock...it's always 3 hours or more.

It's actually a funny story on how Michelle and I got to be friends. We were both going after the same guy about 8 or 9 years ago. She thought I hated her, and I thought she hated me, but she invited me over to her house (with some other friends) when the guys from Yorkton came down. So a couple of days later, I thought I would give her a call and invite her to go to Yorkton with me (again to see the guys). So I thought after calling her that it was stupid of me to even call her and that she might hurt me, and at the same time, she told her Mom that she thought I was going to take her to Yorkton and then leave her on the side of the road. Well neither of those things happened, and long story short - she got the guy - and I got the best friend that I ever had. She has always been there for me through thick and thin, and I wouldn't trade her for the world. (FYI - she is not with the guy now either) I'm sure glad our friendship is stronger then some of our other relationships!!

We're all moved

We took posession of our house on March 15th, and then I spent a few days cleaning it (man, what a mess - I had to scrub every wall!! - went though quite a few Mr. Clean Magic Erasers!!)

We didn't actually get to start moving in until the 17th of March because of all that time cleaning!! Then on the 20th I had to head back to Melville (for a dentist appointment, and work on the 21st) AND....the Co-op staff put together a Steak Supper for little ol' me!! It was so sweet...most of the department managers showed up and I even got some presents!
I will post a couple of pictures of my presents in the next few days...but let me tell you...they are all outdoor ornaments...and all so cute...it will make you want to go and check out your Co-op Hardware Store.. if you are lucky enough to have one!!

Like I said, I worked at the Melville Co-op on March 21st - then headed straight to Estevan for my first day of work at Southern Plains Co-op on March 22nd. Everyone at Southern Plains Co-op is so nice....I sure hope things work out here!!

So quickly... on to the cards!!

The first card I am going to show you is another moving card. I just love this card, and sure hope you do too!! The Bella is colored with Prismacolor Pencils, I did some doodling around the bella with a Stampin' Up! Marker. The flower is from Scrapbook Sally the brad is from Making Memories, the patterned paper is from Stampin' Up!, the "just moved" stamp is Stampin' Up! the punched oval - I cut out with my cuttlebug, and the organdy ribbon is Stampin' Up!

The Second thing I am showing you is the inside of my card from my last post. This is all for my moving cards. I wanted to do make sure that the inside was as pretty as the outside, so I colored the Bella with prismacolors, and I used the Polka Dots and Petals from the spring mini to make my background for my new address. I think doing something in the inside just adds so much!!

Hope you enjoy, and now that I am finally moved, I hope to post more!!

Moving Cards...

Hey Guys,

I have been trying to find the time to update my blog, but lately it just doesn't seem to be happening. I just have been way to busy travelling to Estevan every weekend, and now I am working (like a crazy woman...lol) on my moving cards and trying to make time to exercise and see my friends and family during the week!

The great news that I have to share today is that I have gotten myself a job in Estevan, SK at the Co-op, and will be moving in a couple of weeks. We also take posession of our new house in Bienfait, SK on March 15th (I can't wait!!!!)

Here is my first moving card. I so far have only 3 of these finished but am hoping to finish alot more this weekend. I want to do a couple of different designs, here is the first one.

I used the Loads of Love stamp set and the Loads of Love Accessories stamp set from Stampin' Up! I stamped the truck on Whisper White SU Cardstock and colored it with my prismacolor pencils, odourless mineral spirits and used a blending stump for blending. The papers I used are mostly SU (Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard). I also used some paper from my ever growing collection (I believe it is from a paper Stack from the States)
The ribbons I used are SU burgundy organdy and grosgrain. The "Just Moved" is stamped on More Mustard and punched with SU's tag punch, which I also used for the burgundy tag. I doodled around the "Just Moved" to add a little more to the card.

I hope you like my moving card, now I just have to finish about 50 in the next 2 weeks!! I am so excited about my new job that I just can't wait to start, I am sure that the next few weeks are going to just fly by!! It will be so great to be living with my long lost husband and my doggies again....lol!! AND soon I will be set up at my new home with my computer again (sigh....I can't wait!!)

So, on to other news, my husband and I bought a house in Beinfait. It is about 10 minutes out of Estevan, and we take posession on March 15th. I am so excited about this!! In a month I will be moving all the rest of my stuff to Estevan and then end of April....I will be moving there permanently!! Yay!! I will get to live with my husband again after almost 2 years of living apart. Can you even imagine??

Valentine Nugget Boxes

Oh, look what I made for Valentine's Day!! I think they turned out great!! I found a post about nugget boxes on the internet, but I think the little Hersey's Chocolate Bars are smaller in the States, bucause when I first tried making one, my little chololate bars wouldn't fit in
them.
So I played around with the pattern a bit, and this is what I came up with. I just finished making 11 of these adorable boxes.

I used Stampin' Up paper in Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel. The love hearts on the top are from My Sentiments Exactly, and all other images are from Stampin' Up! The organdy ribbon is from Stampin' Up! too.

Now if only I can not eat the chocolate bars before Valentine's Day...I might have to hide them on myself! lol...

A couple of cards for you!

Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of cards for you today. Hope you enjoy them!!

The first one is a Bella Card!! Have you heard about Stamping Bella?? I bought a bunch of images about a month ago, but haven't had time to use them yet. (huge gasp!!) I love these bellas so much!

I used my Stampin' Up! Wondercolor Watercolor crayons to color the bella and also used a little glitter on the flowers. (This card was so much fun to create!) The paper on the bottom is from Michael's, and did you see, I used a Stampin' Up! marker to doodle a bit around the bella and the top of the card.

My second card today is another Valentine's card. I went to Estevan last weekend, to see my husband and we closed a deal on a house there (actually the house is in Beinfait - about 10 min. from Estevan - and alot cheaper!!) Anyways, there is a store there called "House of Stationery" - and they actually had some nice stamps. I was actually really impressed with that store, and will be visiting them again!! The stamps I bought are from My Sentiments Exactly, and I used them on the following card. I just didn't have enough Valentines and love stamps, now I am feeling much better!! In case you are wondering, yes I do have the cuttlebug, and yes I do love it, I used the swirls embossing folder on this card and the ribbon is from All my Memories.

Again, I hope you enjoy my cards, and I will talk to ya all later!!

My First Valentine's Card

I really had been planning to update this blog as much as possible...but with moving and being so busy driving to Estevan just about every weekend....you really are being neglected so - I apologize.

I do have a new card for you today though!!!

This is my first card using my cuttlebug! I brushed the swirls using a small glittery stamp pad...gotta have some glitter!! Then watercolored the love with Stampin' Up!'s watercolor crayons. The hearts are from an awesome stamp set from Autumn Leaves, and I added some silver glitter to the middle of the hearts.

I hope you all enjoy my card and have time to make more cards then I do....lol..

Talk to you all again real soon....I promise!

All Moved!!

Well, we are all moved into our new apartment in Estevan, and I am moved into my parents basement for a little while. Our move was very exciting, we froze our butts off, and a few things got broken.
And then I went to start up my computer, and guess what, I have a trojan horse, that is causing my computer to restart and restart.... man does that ever suck.....

So the Dell guy told me that I need to somehow back up everything and then reinstall windows. He was absolutely no help at all, all he said was that I have to take my computer to a computer shop to back up the files and then press F11 and my computer will reinstall windows, and I will lose everything on it. Oh, why can't he just fix it for me??? I have no idea how I got this trojan, because the last time I used the computer it was just fine, all I thought was that I was trying to hook it up wrong.

I will not be posting much at all for the next little while, because I am borrowing my Mom's computer. I have absolutely no new cards made, sorry guys, but as soon as I can get working on something, I will be sure to post it!!

For now, Take Care!!!

MOVING, MOVING, MOVING

Hi Everyone,

So this is it, we are moving this weekend and next week!! I am going to be packing like a crazy woman this weekend, and then on Sunday Night, Dusten will be home and we will pack and hopefully move everything on Wednesday.

I can't believe it's time to move already!!!

Here is a card I made for a guy friend of mine. He went to cooking school, so I thought that the chef was great for him...and it's cute too...lol!!! The set is another Stampin' Up! set called Voila.

I used the Stampin' Up! Wondercolor Crayons to color him and to outline the chef...I think it just adds so much more to the card, don't you?

I also used the Stampin' Up! Color Spritzer tool to spray some brown ink around him. Sure works better when you know how to use it. Thanks to Amy Rysavy and her awesome blog tutorial!! For those of you who haven't checked out her blog and tool reviews, click here for her blog.

Well, now off to bed, because I have tons and tons to do in the next few days.
