Magnolia Calendar

I love my new magnolia calendar for my desk at my office. It was so fun to make!!
I used Beate's wonderful tutorial on splitcoast stampers. Click here for the link for the instructions.

Stamps: Magnolia
Papers: MME wild asparagus designer paper, SU Blush blossom and chocolate chip.
Inks: Versafine black ink, prismacolor pencils and OMS
Accessories: Ribbon from dollarama (awesome deal - 5 different ribbons, each 1 meter in length for just $1.00) - after doing this calendar, I went and bought a bunch more ribbon, cause at just a buck, you can't lose!!, bind-it-all binding, brads, prima flowers, 3 little clear heart jewels.

My local scrapbook store had a scrapbooking night on Friday, that I was lucky enough to go to. I met some awesome ladies, and had a blast. We started scrapbooking at 6:30pm, I didn't leave till 1:00am, and some of the ladies were still going strong!! What fun we had, also they offered us shopping at 20% off, what a deal!!

Hedgies and snowman!

Look what I got in the mail just the other day!
Isn't it cute!! It is from one of my blogger friends...Kristine, over at Cafe Ink.
I love the sparkle, and the punch used on the frame of the card looks so awesome!! Thanks so much Kristine, you made my day!!

Look what I got!!!

It was our after christmas social at the Co-op this last Saturday. I was pretty excited because I have been working for a Co-op for over 15 years, so I got my 15 year award...and it's a gorgeous ring with 2 diamonds!!

And then they surprised everyone even more, because every staff member got a Co-op watch, a brown sherpa blanket, and a reusable shopping bag!! Isn't that awesome!!

Time Spent with Friends

Hi guys,

Sorry for the long time between posts. I haven't much felt like posting or even reading blogs lately. Why, you ask.... well I guess I have a screwed up gall bladder (at least that's what all the drs. think) I have never made more trips to the hospital in my life! I am starting to feel better, but have to really watch what I eat, no dairy, no fat, no spices! Yuk. what I wouldn't do for a nice slice of pizza right now!!

Inspiration for the above card, was from this card.. http://tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/2007/12/good-thing.html
Stamps: SU Time well spent, tres chic
Paper: SU soft sky, wild wasabi, purely pomegranate, georgia pacific
Ink: Versafine black, SU wild wasabi, purely pomegranate, cool caribbean
Accessories: SU photo corner punch, creative impressions brads
Colouring was done with prismacolor pencils and OMS
I will hopefully be back later today or tomorrow to show you what I got from the Co-op at my Christmas party last night - (we call it the after christmas social!)

I hope that everyone likes the new look of my blog. In case you wondered what is different, I changed the template, because I wanted some lighter colors for spring (which will be here someday!!) also I wanted my blog to be easier to read, and not have so much wasted space on both sides of the blog. I think this is working well!!

My husband and I made a big after Christmas purchase today. He bought a PS2 game system, and since he was buying that, WELL, I just had to buy Guitar Hero III!! So far, I am doing better then him, but I think I better watch out, because I think I am getting hooked and I have lots of cards to make yet!

Puppy Card

I got some time to play this week because I have had the flu! I actually have a couple of new cards for you, but am only going to post one today.

This card has a Whipper Snapper image that I got from my wonderful blogging friend Kristine at Ink Something.

Stamps used: Whipper Snapper patient puppy, Will'n Way Puppy Love
Paper: Georgia pacific, SU real red, MME wild asparagus designer paper, DCWV the fall stack
Inks: Versafine black, Versamagic jumbo java, SU chocolate chip, SU Basic Black marker
Accessories: May arts ribbon
Techniques: Prismacolor pencils, twinkling H2O's, doodling

I have been having trouble with people being able to click on my cards to enlarge them since I started bloging. I was mentioning it to my Mom today, and she told me that to fix it, what I have to do is upload a card, and not move it (because as soon as I move it around, it can't be clicked on). I am trying it today, so hopefully now you will be able to click on some of my card!! Let me know if you have any trouble with this!!
Have a great day!!
