My Mother's Day card for Mom

I neglected to post my Mother's Day Card for my Mom!! I've been pretty busy lately, it was difficult to even get it done on time, and unfortunately I had to buy a card for my Mother-in-law and sister-in-law due to me being short of time. Luckily, my sister, Crystal, makes homemade cards too, so I just bought a couple from her. All the look of a homemade card, without taking all of the time!!

The Card I made is a Triangle Trifold Card, and you can see Beate's wonderful tutorial here. Her tutorial's are soo easy to follow!!

For this card I used cardstock from Stampin Up!, some beautiful patterned paper from Karen Foster Design (in case you are interested it is #60970- Mother Collage), the sentiments are rub on's by My Sentiments Exactly, and the flowers are all beautiful new Prima's. I had so much fun making this simple card, and my Mom really liked it, so it was worth every minute!!

SU 1-4-1 Return

A couple of months ago a wonderful stamper named Lisa Jahncke sent me a beautiful 1-4-1 card. What 1-4-1 means is that I have to now send her a card back. I finally finished the card today, thanks to some inspiration and a CASE from Taylor VanBruggen. You can see her card here. Sorry for copying Taylor, but your card was fantastic (I just loved the color combo!!)

I used SU's Bodacious Bouquet, Happy Everything, and Paisley background stamps. I also did a bit of doodling, and used SU brads and Gingham Ribbon. The technique I used is called masking. Hope you like my card!!

Happy Birthday to my Mom!!!

My Mom's Birthday was on May 6th. She was supposed to get a card from me before then, however, being so busy and tired lately, I didn't have time to get her card finished!!

I'm sorry Mom, I don't want you to be disappointed!!

I finished her card last week, and hand delivered it on Mother's day. Here is her card!!

I used a Stampin' Up! set called Petal Prints - if you like this set, make sure you buy it right away - it's retiring!!
I also used some My Sentiments Exactly rub ons - they were awesome to work with...they transfer so easily! The main image is from Stamping Bella - her bella's are truly amazing. They were colored in with Prismacolor pencils and then I used my favorite pens, my Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pen in Clear and my Stampin' Up! marker in black for the doodling!!

The card idea is from the best cardmaker that I know, Beate. (click her name to go to her blog...then prepare to drool and enjoy!!)
Off to bed now, my next post should be my Mother's Day card for Mom.

Here is the inside of the card!!

Guess What??

I am so excited to announce that I was picked for a project that the stamp company "RubberStampingFun" is starting. They are going to send me a set of rubber stamps and I am going to make a card (or a couple of cards) with each set to show all of you!!!

This is going to be so much fun!!! I can't wait to get my first set from them!!

Finally a new post!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it has taken me so long to post again, but I've been soooo busy. I have been working at Southern Plains Co-op in the Bulk/Agro Department. What I am doing is helping customers (usually by carrying heavy feed and oil), receiving new products, and helping to set up the newly expanded store. It is actually alot of fun, but would be alot easier to do if I wasn't sick. I have a terrible cold right now (which I have had since Wednesday), and it doesn't help that I have been working alot of overtime at the Co-op, or that I have also been working at the new job that my husband and I just got, cleaning the Canada Post office in Bienfait. I need rest, but it just doesn't seem possible right now.

Here is the new card that I made last week. The card was for my other brother (Darren's) birthday. Darren is the youngest in our family. He is a great guy too, when I lived in Melville, if I had any problems or needed anything, all I had to do was call Darren and he came over right away!! I am very proud of Darren because he just got a job on the CNR (as a conductor). He made his first trip with the CN last week. Nobody deserves this job more!!!

I used Stampin' Up! paper on this card, and my beloved Cuttlebug!!! The set is called Ruff Day and is being retired by Stampin' Up! this year. I embossed the doggy with black embossing powder and then coloured it in with my Prismacolor pencils and blending stumps. The ribbon I used is from Stampin' Up! too, and I used a couple of my corner punches on this card. If anyone has any questions about any of my cards, be sure to comment or email me, I am here to share, and would be proud if anyone liked my card enough to copy it!

Hopefully I will have a card in the next week, but just to let you know, don't hold your breath, cause I've been told there is more overtime in my future! I will post when I can though, so don't give up on me!
