Father's Day

Hi All,

I have a card to post today, but first I want to let you know what I did this week. I have been crazy busy working at Southern Plains Co-op - we just had our grand opening on Wednesday, AND I just got back from a weekend at Clear Lake, Manitoba....it was an amazing weekend. I got to spend Friday, Saturday and part of Sunday with my wonderful family!!

The weather was great on Friday, we went swimming, and shopping, and had a few drinkies!! What a relaxing time!! On Saturday it rained all day, so more shopping, and we even went to the movies! And then on Sunday, more shopping (man, am I broke...and what am I going to do?..the new Stampin' Up! catty is coming out on July 1st!!), then we went for ice cream, walked around, and took tons of pictures!!

So here is the card...
Stamps Used: SU Crab & Company, MSE Rub-ons
Paper: SU Old Olive and Chocolate Chip, mme Magnolia designer paper
Inks: SU Craft Whisper White, SU Chocolate Chip, SU Basic Black Marker, Prismacolor Pencils and odourless mineral spirits
Accessories: May arts ribbon, Time 4 Crafts - scrapbook stickers
Thanks for visiting my blog!

God didn't promise!

Today's card was made for my friend Kelly. She is one of my first friends in Estevan and I am so thankful that I met her. She is going to have surgery today...just a minor surgery, but I know she was worried about it!

I used some of my new things from Minot for this card.

Stamps used: American Art Stamp - worth it
Paper used: Imagine that - textured cardstock, DCWV = the glitter stack
Inks used: SU basic black and close to cocoa, prismacolor pencils and odourless mineral spirits, Sakura clear gel pen
Accessories: Brads, Prima flowers, machine stiching, may arts ribbon

I just loved all the paper and stamps that I picked up in Minot last weekend, that I couldn't wait to use them!!

This weekend we are off to Yorkton, for our niece's first birthday.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Minot, ND

One of the best parts about living in Bienfait (by Estevan) is that I am only about 1 1/2 hours from Minot, ND. Sooo, my parents came from Melville, SK on Saturday and I went with them to Minot. Well, I think that me and my Mom hit the jackpot. Any Canadian knows how expensive stamps are here. We also know that it is hard to find nice stamps and usually you have to order the really great ones from the States anyways.

Well, when I went into Hobby Lobby (my first trip to this store by the way - it's kind of new in Minot) I found that all their stamps were on sale for 1/2 price. Their scrapbook paper was also on 1/2 price!! Mom and I couldn't believe our luck...we just had to load up. Take a look below, I took pictures of some of my new treasures!!

Crystal's Card

Here is my Crystal's Birthday Card. Crystal is the other twin from the previous post. I think that Crystal's card took me twice as long as Kim's did, because I wanted it to be just perfect. Crystal is a card maker too, and I really hope she likes my card!!

Stamps: Hero Arts Clear Design - Bird-day Designs

Inks: Stampin' Up! Basic Black, Prismacolor Pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits

Paper: Rob and Bob Studio - Super slab 8 (from Michaels)

Accessories: Prima Flowers, Brads, May Arts Ribbon, Sewing Machine Stiching

Crystal, I sure hope you like your card!!
Oh, and take a peek below for part of the inside of Crystal's card....

Kim's Card

Today are my twin sisters Birthdays. Their names are Kim and Crystal and they are turning 27 years old.

Here is the card that I made for Kim.

I wanted the card to fit her, which isn't always easy to do, but Kim's favorite things are junk food (so I think cake counts!) and some wine or a couple of drinks. I sure hope that she likes it.
Stamps used: Stamping Bella - cosmobella and wishing you a birthday, SU - fancy flexable phrases, Hampton Arts - Clear Expressions Birthday.
Inks: SU Basic Black, Night of Navy, Certainly Celery, and Prismacolor Pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits to color.
Paper: DCWV Summer Stack, Imagine That - Textured Cardstock
Accessories: Brads, Prima Flowers, SU White Gel Pen, May Arts Ribbon, Sakura Stardust Pen, and lots of sewing with my machine!!
Now, I just need to get Crystal's Card done - sorry girls the cards are a going to be late!!

Take a look on the right hand side!

You will see my Avatar!! I was looking at Julia's Blog, and noticed hers, so since I had already made one in Yahoo, I decided to put her on my blog too. So here she is...now remember, you have to add some weight on to her, otherwise I think she is just perfect.
And I decided she should wear PJ's all day, cause that's what I love to do!!
