Ribbon, Ribbon, Ribbon

Me and my Mom took part on a ribbon share from Confessions of a Ribbon Addict, and we got our May Arts ribbon yesterday. It's all sitting in Melville waiting for me to pick it up on Tuesday. My Mom was nice enough to send me a picture, so I could drool too. I think you should drool too!!, so here it is...lol...

I had plans to get so many cards done today, but ended up spending most of my day on the phone. My best friend, Michelle, gave me a call this morning. We do not get a chance to talk very often, but when we do it is always a 3 hour...or more...gabfest!! We try to make sure we actually have time to talk before phoning, because even though we think we can get off the phone in an hour or so, when we actually look at the clock...it's always 3 hours or more.

It's actually a funny story on how Michelle and I got to be friends. We were both going after the same guy about 8 or 9 years ago. She thought I hated her, and I thought she hated me, but she invited me over to her house (with some other friends) when the guys from Yorkton came down. So a couple of days later, I thought I would give her a call and invite her to go to Yorkton with me (again to see the guys). So I thought after calling her that it was stupid of me to even call her and that she might hurt me, and at the same time, she told her Mom that she thought I was going to take her to Yorkton and then leave her on the side of the road. Well neither of those things happened, and long story short - she got the guy - and I got the best friend that I ever had. She has always been there for me through thick and thin, and I wouldn't trade her for the world. (FYI - she is not with the guy now either) I'm sure glad our friendship is stronger then some of our other relationships!!

We're all moved

We took posession of our house on March 15th, and then I spent a few days cleaning it (man, what a mess - I had to scrub every wall!! - went though quite a few Mr. Clean Magic Erasers!!)

We didn't actually get to start moving in until the 17th of March because of all that time cleaning!! Then on the 20th I had to head back to Melville (for a dentist appointment, and work on the 21st) AND....the Co-op staff put together a Steak Supper for little ol' me!! It was so sweet...most of the department managers showed up and I even got some presents!
I will post a couple of pictures of my presents in the next few days...but let me tell you...they are all outdoor ornaments...and all so cute...it will make you want to go and check out your Co-op Hardware Store.. if you are lucky enough to have one!!

Like I said, I worked at the Melville Co-op on March 21st - then headed straight to Estevan for my first day of work at Southern Plains Co-op on March 22nd. Everyone at Southern Plains Co-op is so nice....I sure hope things work out here!!

So quickly... on to the cards!!

The first card I am going to show you is another moving card. I just love this card, and sure hope you do too!! The Bella is colored with Prismacolor Pencils, I did some doodling around the bella with a Stampin' Up! Marker. The flower is from Scrapbook Sally the brad is from Making Memories, the patterned paper is from Stampin' Up!, the "just moved" stamp is Stampin' Up! the punched oval - I cut out with my cuttlebug, and the organdy ribbon is Stampin' Up!

The Second thing I am showing you is the inside of my card from my last post. This is all for my moving cards. I wanted to do make sure that the inside was as pretty as the outside, so I colored the Bella with prismacolors, and I used the Polka Dots and Petals from the spring mini to make my background for my new address. I think doing something in the inside just adds so much!!

Hope you enjoy, and now that I am finally moved, I hope to post more!!

Moving Cards...

Hey Guys,

I have been trying to find the time to update my blog, but lately it just doesn't seem to be happening. I just have been way to busy travelling to Estevan every weekend, and now I am working (like a crazy woman...lol) on my moving cards and trying to make time to exercise and see my friends and family during the week!

The great news that I have to share today is that I have gotten myself a job in Estevan, SK at the Co-op, and will be moving in a couple of weeks. We also take posession of our new house in Bienfait, SK on March 15th (I can't wait!!!!)

Here is my first moving card. I so far have only 3 of these finished but am hoping to finish alot more this weekend. I want to do a couple of different designs, here is the first one.

I used the Loads of Love stamp set and the Loads of Love Accessories stamp set from Stampin' Up! I stamped the truck on Whisper White SU Cardstock and colored it with my prismacolor pencils, odourless mineral spirits and used a blending stump for blending. The papers I used are mostly SU (Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard). I also used some paper from my ever growing collection (I believe it is from a paper Stack from the States)
The ribbons I used are SU burgundy organdy and grosgrain. The "Just Moved" is stamped on More Mustard and punched with SU's tag punch, which I also used for the burgundy tag. I doodled around the "Just Moved" to add a little more to the card.

I hope you like my moving card, now I just have to finish about 50 in the next 2 weeks!! I am so excited about my new job that I just can't wait to start, I am sure that the next few weeks are going to just fly by!! It will be so great to be living with my long lost husband and my doggies again....lol!! AND soon I will be set up at my new home with my computer again (sigh....I can't wait!!)
