Another Magnolia Christmas Card

This time of year, it sure feels like the crunch is on, and I don't know about you, but I don't ever feel like there is enough time to get everything done that I want to. I am so behind on my Christmas cards this year, that I'm pretty sure I am going to keep making them into Jan. and Feb., so I am ready for next year. lol...
This card is made with another fabulous Magnolia image. I just love all magnolia images, they are absolutely the best. I used alot of ink for distressing, and I got the snowflake from my LSS and the smaller snowflake is a punch from Martha Stewart.

I'm not sure if I will be posting again before Christmas. I suppose if I get another card done, then maybe, but I have my husband's christmas party on Monday, and then Wednesday is already Christmas Eve. We are heading down to our parents houses on Thursday and won't be home till Sunday night.

Just in case I am not back before Christmas, I wish everyone of you, a Very Merry Christmas, and I hope you all get to spend time with your loved ones!!

Magnolia Christmas

Hi everyone,

I am just on my way to work this morning, but wanted to leave you with another one of my holiday cards.
This card was made with 3 different Magnolia images, the tilda, the bench and the holly. Aren't they awesome. I colored them using my copics and prismas. Thanks for the hints Mom!! I was having trouble with my copics, and she suggested sometimes that I could go over them with my prismas...and it works great!!

Well, I have to get off to work, I will talk to you all soon. Today is my first day back in the Admin. office....I can't be late!!!

Season's Greetings to you and yours!! And thanks for the amazing comments and wonderful christmas cards that I am starting to receive!!!

Christmas Reindeer

Would you like to know what the biggest pain in the a#$ is? Never knowing when you are going to have internet!
I have been phoning Sasktel (my internet provider) because I can never seem to get on the internet. Sometimes I have to wait a couple hours, sometimes all night...and the last week or two has been the absolute worst! I was advised to go into Estevan to pick up a new modem...which I did....and told that then I would have no problem. So I brought the new modem home..and then STILL couldn't get on the internet. What a pain!!
So after talking to Sasktel again last night...they told me that there is alot of noise on the line, and I am going to have to wait for a tech to come out. The tech should be able to replace my phone lines, and hopefully this won't happen anymore. Unfortunately until they come out....I don't know how much I will be on the internet. I am getting more and more frustrated every day!!

The good news is...I am going to Melville in the Morning to see my Mom and Dad, so I just wont be on the internet for a few days anyways!! And I get to see my family....Yay!!

I do have 1 card for you today. It was actually a pretty fast card to make. What took the longest was the coloring of the image. Hope you like it!!
The stamp is called Merry Christmas Sled by stampabilities, it was colored with my prismacolor pencils and OMS. Ribbon and dp is from my stash. I cut the scallops with my old fashioned scalloped scizzors. I find that I don't have much use for scalloped scizzors anymore, since I got my nesties!! I love them!!

I should be back on Tuesday with my Spoon Full of Sugar card. Until then....hope you and your family have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!!

A Mousey Christmas

Here is another image that I colored at the scrapbooking weekend that I went to a few weeks ago. I just love house mouse images!!
I colored this image in with prismacolor pencils and OMS. The wings were done with a glitter glue pen. Cardstock is from Bazill, patterned paper is from a glitter stack and from Walmart. Ribbon is SU and walmart.

I've been having some major trouble with the internet lately. Yesterday I tried all night to get on, and couldn't get it to work no matter what I did. I was so excited when I turned my computer on after work today, and the internet came up right away!! Hope that none of you are having this trouble, cause it is so annoying!!

I am going to have another card to hopefully post this weekend! Until then....have a great week, and thanks for the amazing comments!!

Some pictures of my craft room

Guess what...
Here are the first pictures of my newly painted and renovated house. When we moved into this house, I couldn't believe how disgusting it was. Everything was dirty!! The ceiling was so dirty that there were strings of dust hanging off of it. I walked into the house and scrubbed it from top to bottom. Now I decided that we needed some color and organization in this room.

These pictures are from when we first moved in.You can see there are 2 big windows in this house. We changed the windows, made both of them smaller actually. One of the windows was made half the size it was before, and made not to open, so I have more wall room!!
Isn't this white boring??
And now......my new craft room/spare bedroom.
(I wonder if the color is going to keep any of our guests up at night?)
We still have a little work to do in this room....the winow is not totally finished....just the inside casing to go! Also I have to figure out what I am going to do with the cords from my tv. Think I am going to extend the satelite cord, so it can sit under the bed and dresser!!

Woo Hoo...I am so excited!! My craft area actually has a table!! Haven't had that before. I also think that I am going to hang some completed cards on the same wall as the table!! A girl needs all the inspiration that she can get sometimes!!
Hope you've enjoyed a quick view of my craft room!
I will be back soon...hopefully with pictures of the outside of our house and my living room!
Have a wonderful weekend! And thanks so much for all of your wonderful comments...you guys make my day!!

Thank you for Kids

This week the challenge for A Spoon Full of Sugar is to make a Childs card. I had this card made a couple of weeks ago, but didn't get a chance to post it. I was planning on making another card for the challenge this week, but since I am still working on our house, and specifically....my craft room.... I decided to use this card for the challenge instead. I hope that it works for a childs card!
The image is from Whipper Snapper. I received this beautiful image from my friend, Kristine. Please take some time to go and check out her blog...it's amazing!! The pink paper is from SU, and I doodled around the image and then used some glitter on the wings to make the angel all sparkly.

Last week the challenge on A Spoon Full of Sugar was a sketch made by me. There was 98 comments on that post last week. You guys have all amazed me!! I am so glad that you liked the sketch enough to give it a go. Your cards were ALL amazing and beautiful!! Thank you for all of your comments and your inspiration!
I hope to see some of you making a card this week too! Don't forget that all you have to do is make a card using the current challenge, and post a link on the "A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog", you will then be entered to win one of the fabulous prizes!

I will be able to post cards more often within the next 2 weeks. We are down to the home stretch on our renovations...for now anyways!! My craft room is painted, and tomorrow I put up the baseboards and start putting things back...I can't wait to get everything back in place again!!

Wishing you all a very creative week!!

Challenge # 24 - Trina's Sketch

Good Morning!!

The new challenge on A Spoon Full of Sugar is actually a sketch I made. I never make any tall cards, so I thought this was a good time to go a bit out of my comfort zone, and see what I and the very talented Sugar girls could do with it. I have been totally amazed by the creations I have seen so far!!
And now it's time for YOU to get involved!!
Head on over to A Spoon Full of Sugar for full details on participating, and then leave the link to your card there, so the rest of us can check it out!!
Here is the sketch.....

And here is my creation....
I am so bad with my Christmas paper, I sort of all lumped it together, so I have no idea whose paper it is. The image is a Rachelle Anne Miller Stamp which I bought from Sweet'n Sassy (they are redesigning their site right now, so I couldn't find this stamp, but here is the link anyways). I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and OMS.

Well, I'm off to work, I will be going to check out the creations that everyone has made later!!
Have a great day!!

A quick card

I am going to quickly post a card today! It is already past my bedtime, but we just hooked the computer back up, and I have been trying for days to get a card posted.

I went to a scrapbooking weekend on October 24th and 25th. It was put on by some wonderful ladies who sell creative memories. These ladies did an amazing job!! We all got some scrapbooking goodies, and the food was amazing!! There were make and takes and a few classes on digital scrapbooking!! It was wonderful. I wasn't scrapbooking, but made cards instead. Actually I only made one card..this one that you see today. I did get a few images colored though, and had alot of fun visiting with friends!

It's time to make Christmas cards, so that's what I am trying to do. Funny though, when I know I need to make Christmas cards, I just don't want too!! I think my card turned out very well. I love this image!! It is from Whiff of Joy and is called Willow with Lantern. I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and OMS. The paper was all from my stock.
And just to let you know how our house is doing...the living room is now painted!! We put the baseboards up today too, and are just waiting for some wood to come in to finish the insides of the windows. Dusten is going to paint the cabinet in the living room tomorrow and then I have the huge job of dusting everything and putting it all away. It will be so wonderful to have a living room again!!

Next is the guest bedroom!! I will get some pictures to you all, but am trying to wait till the house looks just about finished. I'm to vain to show anyone my mess right now!

Have a great day, and I will be back Tuesday Morning with my Spoon Full of Sugar card.

Challenge #23

Hello Everyone,

I know, I have been absent for sooo long. I had a 3 day trip to Saskatoon last week for something called Buymart. And when I was not busy with that, there was work, and working on our house, and trying to figure out where to put everything in my nonexistent craft room!
We are hoping to paint the house this week and next week, so I still may not be around alot, but I do have a couple of other cards done, so I will try to get them posted in the next week!

The challenge this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar is sparkle and bling. That's it for the challenge this week, you just have to have some sparkle or bling on your card....how easy is that??? I expect a whole lot of participants on this challenge!! As always, here is a link to the site to go and check out the details!!
I don't know all the details of this card, but what I do know is that the image is from High Hopes...here's the link to this wonderful stamp! The image was colored with prismacolor pencils and OMS. I used the quickie glue pen and sprinkled glitter on the hat and the fur on the boot. The paper is Coordinations cardstock, celebrate christmas glitter stack from Hobby Lobby, and an unknown dp. The snowflake at the bottom of the card, is a nestabilities snowflake - cut out with my cuttlebug and then attached with a sparkle brad.

Don't forget check out A Spoon Full of Sugar this week for the wonderful challenge, and thank you to all of my faithful followers, I am sorry that I have been so busy lately (hopefully it will get better soon!!).

Have a great day!

I'm MIA

Morning everyone,

I haven't had a chance to make or post any new cards this week. My father-in-law is down and we are putting all new windows into our house and then hopefully putting up some siding. We are doing some huge changes this week so I can't wait to see what it all is going to look like when it's all finished! Probably going to go crazy before that though, because my whole living room is torn up and really soon my computer will have to go for a day or two.

I also wanted to let all of you know, to check back next week because I will be posting some birthday blog candy. It was my 34th Birthday on October 2nd!! I sure am starting to feel old...lol!

Thanks to everyone who emailed me and wished me a Happy Birthday, and thank you for all the cards that I've gotten in the mail. I will be posting those soon too!!

Hope you have a great weekend!! And I will be back soon!!
