More entries to my sketch challenge!!

Bright Rakle!!

Hello everyone,
If you take a look at the two slides above you will see all the entries for my sketch challenge! They are all fabulous cards! I can't believe all the talent that has found me!! Keep them coming girls...the contest ends September 5th!!

My card today is one that I did after realizing that I had no thinking of you cards around. I would like to keep at least 4 of each kind of card around, because you never know when you will need it! Unfortunately, when I did need one, I wasn't prepared, and I couldn't take a day off of work to make a card, could I??

I had an oopsie with the pants on the rakle girl. I was adding my twinkling H2O's to make the pants sparkly and brighter, and I added way to much water to my brush the color went everywhere outside the lines and I couldn't fix it~~thank goodness I could cut out the image~~now I think it looks ok!!
Stamps: Rakle, Hero Arts - thinking of you messages
Paper: Georgia pacific cardstock, imagine that text cardstock, DCVW the glitter stack, unknown dp
Ink: versafine black, prismacolor pencils and OMS
Accessories: may arts ribbon, prima flowers, brads

I bought my rakle stamp from Phebe at the Town Scrapper. She ships anywhere in Canada and gives you fast service and reasonable prices! Here is her email address: townscrapper@sympatico.ca

Now, I guess we are going into town to order our siding for the house, and to think...I was hoping to go away this weekend. On Monday my hubby and I will be celebrating our Seventh Wedding Anniversary! Oh well, maybe I can get a nice supper out of it yet!!

I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend!

Bella Birthday!

This weekend was a very busy weekend for me. I went home to Melville to spend the weekend with my family. My husband didn't come, so it was just me and my 2 dogs! I wish that my dogs were better travellers, but the whole time we were driving, they kept jumping from the front seat to the back seat, crying, and constantly wanted to be petted. Why couldn't they have just gone to sleep in the backseat?? At my parents house, whenever I went to the bathroom, Wynter (our smaller dog) would cry outside the door. It was so funny, I couldn't even leave for 2 minutes!!
Anyway, I just got back tonight, and I know I am behind on commenting on all of your blogs. I will get to it as soon as I can!!

In the meantime, please head on over to my Mom's blog, Artfully Ila, and wish her A VERY HAPPY 35TH ANNIVERSARY!!

The card that I am posting today, I made for my mother-in-law's birthday.
Stamps used: stamping bella, hero arts -anytime messages
Ink: versafine black, prismacolor pencils and OMS

Promised card!

I promised you a card, and I am going to show you one!! This week has been so busy, with our holidays, a reunion, and a trip to Regina to go and buy a vehicle, and now we are heading tomorrow morning to Minot, ND, to go and meet my Mom and Dad. I just got a phone call from my Mom (most of you know her as Ila from Artfully Ila) because they are having trouble with their vehicle in Minot, and wanted to know when we are going to be there, because they are stuck until the vehicle gets fixed.

Now, on to the card....
I emailed this card to my Mom earlier this week to show her and see if she likes it, and she emailed back and said "This card is for me, right Trina??". So I am pretty sure that this card will be going to her....nice thing about giving her a card, is she always gives me an amazing one right back!! It's so fun to have family that is into cardmaking too!!
The stamps used on this card are mostly from Magnolia. The ticket stamps are from Autumn leaves.
Inks: Versafine black, SU orange, prismacolor pencils and OMS.
Paper: Georgia pacific cs, imagine that textured cs, bazzill cs, DCWV pockets full of posies, unknown cardstock
Accessories: lace, prima flowers, may arts ribbon, brad

Well, I am off to bed right away, cause we want to leave for Minot in less then 8 hours!!

Wishing you all a fun long weekend!
