Blog candies!!

Hello Ladies,

I have found a couple of sites having blog candy, and the rules to enter are that I have to post it on my blog too. So, (even though I wan't to win so much that I don't want you to know anything about it...) Here are the blogs:

The first one is called All the things I love. A wonderful woman named Bev runs this blog. Make sure you go and take a look, because not only are her cards wonderful, that blog candy is amazing!! I'm pretty sure that I would fight you (and I hope win...lol) for those beautiful Hanglar images!!

The second site for candy that I found is called Camillas Magnolia kort by Camilla. Her site is amazing too, I just love all of her magnolia cards. She is giving away a bunch of magnolia stamps and some beautiful designer paper, ribbons and flowers. Go and take a look at her blog here!

Challenge # 9 at A Spoon Full of Sugar

Hi Everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't posted all week. It has been a crazy, crazy week for me.
First the card....then I will explain.....

This card is for Challenge #9 at A Spoon Full of Sugar.
From the Blog....
"We have the gorgeous Katharina as our guest designer this week who has created this fab sketch for us, if you haven’t paid her a visit pop over and take a look at her fab blog, and wish her well on her new adventure whiff of joy" If you don't have an oval for this challenge please feel free to use a circle.

There is going to be a beautiful stamp given away this week, so be sure to go and check it out!!

Here is my card... I got this gorgeous image from my friend Debbie....Thanks so much Debbie!!

I made this card in just over an hour....I think it's one of the fastest cards I have ever made. (usually I spend a couple of hours picking out the papers and setting it up) Unfortunately, I didn't have alot of time this week, but still think it turned out ok. I think that the fab. sketch had something to do with it!

If you have any questions about the products I used, be sure to email me.

And now about work. I have been working from 5 am to 3 pm (approx.) daily, and am exausted when I get home....I mean straight to bed with me! And I am not used to standing on my feet...in one place for that many hours, kind of having some trouble with it. Going to the Dr. today, because I think my heel spurs are already back!! Anyways....I have been not loving my job, kind of depressed actually, so I am trying to find out what my options are. I am sad that I even gave up the office in the first place, because that is what I KNOW I love, but I thought that a new challenge would be good for me. However, what good is having a job that pays more, if I don't have any extra time to do my other love....stamping!

I will keep you informed on what happens with my job. I am on holidays for a week (we are going away for part of it), so I am hoping to get a couple of cards done today or tomorrow.

Hope all is well with all of you, and hopefully I will be back later this week!

Happy Birthday....

Hi all,

I made a magnolia card about a week ago, and forgot to get it uploaded, so here it is!

I got some gorgeous flowers a couple of weeks ago from Scrappin' Great Deals, so I had to be sure to use them. If you are looking for a place to buy accessories from in Canada, including the much sought after Nestabilities....don't look any further! Her service is great, and if something is out of stock, when it comes in, she sends it out with free shipping!

If you are looking for a source for the Magnolia stamps, I get mine from The Town Scrapper. Her email address is townscrapper@sympatico.ca , she is a great person to work with, and has given me some good deals!

I got some awesome mail yesterday! My Magnolia stamp club arived straight from the magnolia site. I am mounting the stamps on easy mount as we speak, and hopefully will be working on some cards soon!! Yay...I am so excited!!

Thank you for all my great comments lately...you all sure are wonderful!!

Retirement card!

Hello everyone.

A fellow co-worker just retired last week. I was asked to make a card for her. She is one awesome person and a very classy lady! I was trying to make a card that fit her personality. Wednesday we had a party for her, and I am happy to report, she really liked her card.

This card was actually made using Stampin' Up! stamps. I hardly ever use Stampin' Up! anymore. Now don't get me wrong, their products are amazing, BUT I am totally in love with alot of the newer stamps that are coming out....ie. Magnolia, Rachelle Anne Miller, and Hanglers!!

Stamps: SU reverse prints, SU riveting
Inks: embossing ink, SU chocolate chip
Paper: Bazzill Basics white and black cardstock, DCWV the old world stack
Accessories: brads, SU ribbon
Nestabilities and cuttlebug used for the sentiment.

Hope you like my card too, have a great day!

Thanks for all of your wonderful comments!! I will be back soon, with a couple more cards!

Tagged!

I got tagged by Charly at Charly's Crazy Corner. I love checking out her blog, especially since lately she has had up tons of Bella cards. Go and take a look, I'm sure you will love them!!
The rules state that I have to list 7 random things about myself, so here goes:
1. I work at Southern Plains Co-op in Estevan, SK, and am so excited that I am going to be starting a new position in less then 2 weeks. I am going from payroll manager to C-Store Manager Trainee, and then C-Store Manager after 16 weeks of training. It will be so exciting to manage my own store, but I worry about the amount of time that I will get to make cards and look at everyones blogs. You may lose me for a while, but I will be back!
2. I can gain and lose weight quite fast, but have never been able to keep of the weight. I am attempting to start another battle with the bulge, cause I hate the way I look right now so much that I won't even put up a current picture of me.
3. I hate carrots.....I know it's weird, but I do!!
4. I was angry with my husband for going away this weekend, when we were supposed to do work on our house, but secretly, I am really happy cause I can spend time on the computer without him complaining! (Just don't tell him!)
5. Everytime I make a card, I have to spend 20 minutes before I start cleaning up my huge mess. I don't even know where the mess comes from, I think I am an organized person, but some time during the cardmaking process I forget to put things away!!
6. I am so lucky to be able to tan really easily in the summer. I don't even have to go out and tan, and I will end up darker than the people who spend hours and hours out there each year. My only problem is that the first few times I am in the sun, I get a red itchy sun rash!!
7. I hate being around wasps and bees. A wasp came into my house on the weekend, when I was letting the dogs out, and I started shaking, because I am so afraid of getting stung. I have alot of allergies, and we think that I am allergic to wasp and bee stings. (Just to let you know, I did eventully kill the wasp, after freaking out for about 15 minutes. I sprayed him with creepy crawler, and then when he could hardly move, I pounded the crap right out of him with a fly swatter!)

Now I should be tagging more bloggers, so what I am going to do, is if you think you would like to answer 7 questions, then consider yourself tagged.

Awards!!

I am feeling like the luckiest girl in the world!! I can't believe that you ladies feel my cards are good enough for all these awards....(blushing:-o)

This first award I got from my Mom, Ila at Artfully Ila. I'm sure by now you all know about her great blog. It is absolutely amazing...and I am not just saying that because I'm her daughter. She has taught me everything I know!!

I am supposed to give this award to somebody now. I am going to give it to Nikki from Bunny-Zoe's blog. I think that Nikki's cards are amazing, she is one of the gals in charge of our Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Site, and I am always amazed by the speed that she comments on my blog and other blogs!

Now the next award, I received from Jill at Jill's Cards, and Debby at A Scrapjourney. Both these blogs are amazing, so I hope you will go and check them out!

The rules for this award are:

  1. The winner can put the logo on her blog.
  2. Link the person you received the award from.
  3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
  4. Put links to those blogs on yours.
  5. Leave a comment on the blogs of the girls you've nominated.

The 7 great bloggers that I am going to nominate are:

Ila

Lim

Jessica

Leonie

Charly

Sandra

Sophia
