Hey Trina!! I think my favourite card verse right now, is one I picked up a couple of weeks ago. It is by American Art Stamp and it says 'I always know...God won't give me more than I can handle. There are times I just wish he didn't trust me quite so much.' Hahaha!! So true. Have a great day!

Obviously, artistic talent is genetic! Thanks for sharing. My favorite verse is the saying from Mother Teresa: "We can't all do great things, but we can all do small things with great love."

Yummy! Thanks for sharing... I just love your mom's blog and now yours! Can you give me your mom's address so I can send her a card?
I am not sure what my fav verse is, but I love simple greetings and I just got Mixed Messages from Papertrey Ink that fit on the Tiny Tags from Cuttlebug...

Well, I was just at your mom's blog, such fun blog candy from you both!! One of my very favorite sentiments is, believe it or not, a dollar stamp I got at Michael's about a year ago. It says "of all possessions, a friend is the most precious ~ herodotus" ~ whenever I'm at a loss as to what to put on the inside of my card, I grab this stamp. Beautiful saying & cheap too!! LOL!!

My favourite card sentiments are the inspirational ones. I got a lovely set of stamps by Heidi Grace with some really good ones on - infact one of them is on the card I put a link to on your Mum's blog...
http://craftworkblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/handmade-backgrounds-arty-girlz.html
It's not my favourite though - I like 'Take time to smell the flowers' and 'If friends were flowers I'd pick you'. Guess I'm a soppy so so and so.
Hope your mum has a fabby birthday.

Well done on your blog too.. it's as brilliant as your mums.

I foster dogs for our local spaniel rescue, and when they go to their new home, I make a card to send with them, telling them about the dogs habits..

My favourite card verse has to be this one.. which I modify at times..

There I sat, alone and afraid,
You got a call and came right to my aid.
You bundled me up with blankets and love.
And, when I needed it most, you gave me a hug.

I learned that the world was not all that scary and cold.
That sometimes there is someone to have and to hold.
You taught me what love is, you helped me to mend.
You loved me and healed me and became my first friend.

And just when I thought you'd done all you do,
There came along not one new lesson, but two.
First you said, "Sweetheart, you're ready to go.
I've done all I can, and you've learned all I know."

Then you bundled me up with a blanket and kiss.
Along came a new family, they even have kids!
They took me to their home, forever to stay.
At first I thought you sent me away.

Then that second lesson became perfectly clear.
No matter how far, you will always be near.
And so, Foster Mum, you know I've moved on.
I have a new home, with toys and a lawn.

But I'll never forget what I learned that first day.
You never really give your fosters away.
You gave me these thoughts to remember you by.
We may never meet again, and now I know why.

You'll remember I lived with you for a time.
I may not be yours, but you'll always be mine.

Hi! What a wonderful blogcandy and such fantastic cards you create!! Have no blog but vill fix one soon -nice way to communicate with others with the same interest. Well, I like sentiments a lot but it´s sometimes hard to translate from swedish without loosing the meaning. But this one works: "If flowers where friends I´d pick you!" That´s what I wrote on my friend´s birthdaycard - she´s got the same birthday as your mum!!

Minxy said...

Just hopped over from your mums blog, arn't you both sweet to offer up candy.
I would have to say my fav verse is not so much for cards but for all stamp addicts.. sorry this is gonna be a bit long...
It all began with just one stamp and just one stamp pad too,
Of course, things didn't stay that way and shortly I had two.
These were quickly followed
by numbers three and four,
the craving had now started and
I wanted more and more.
A teeny winy flower set with lovely little rose,
the nicest little verse stamp, I must have one of those.
A couple of those flourish sets, a rollagraph or two,
and then another ink pad in a lovely shade of blue.
I really love those Tim stamps and the altered ones are nice,
I see that Penny Black has out some lovely little mice.
I think I'm now addicted, It started just last year,
now I can't pass a catalogue without a little peer.
And then I joined some forums, upon the internet,
from here I learned of other things I really need to get.
I want to try some brayering and mica powders too,
Stamping onto Dominoes, there’s lots of things to do.
My Other half is well bemused,
I don’t know how he puts up with me, as I produce, yet more stamped things, all keen for him to look and see.
And now I'm signed up for some swaps, that shouldn't be too hard,
until I cant find the right stamp,
while hunting for some card.
And so I go a searching, to see what I can find.
Feeding my addiction,
of the Rubbery Stamping kind.
Hope you and your mum have a fab day for her birthday :O)

Hi Trina,
Found you through another blog today. I have a May birthday too!
My favorite verse today is one I used on my MIL's Mom's Day card:
On this special day, the world should bloom in your honor!
Thanks for your blog candy offer & I hope your Mom's birthday is very special!

My favorite card verse is in Danish, but I can try to translate it.

You are not old
you have just been younger
longer than the rest of us.

I don't know if that make sense in english, but here it is.

Nice to watch your blog.

Happy Birthday to your mom! Hope she has a great day!

As for favourite sentiment I really like the Sweet Serendipity set by SU. The one that makes me smile each time is a Papertrey sentiment that says something like "a true father carries pictures where his money used to be"

I don't really have a favorite verse but right now I seem to really like Happy bird-day. I use it a lot with these cute little bird stamps from verve visual.

i'm a newbie to this whole cardmaking and visiting blog thing. and let me is it every addicting. i came across your site from nancy's creative mess. intriged by the concecpt of blog candy, i figure i try my first shot at it. whoever came up with this concept is awesome.

as i was saying, me newbie, so no site to publish/share your link. but i do have a sentiment to share with you which fall under your other condition to this blog candy.

my fave thus far is....

LIFE BRINGS SIMPLE PLEASURES TO US EVERYDAY. IT'S UP TO US TO MAKE THEM WONDERFUL MEMORIES.
--CATHY ALLEN--

i find that this sentiment fits many things and is versitile to many the reasons to give someone something special. thanks trina.

Happy Birthday to your Mom.

My favorite sentiment is 'thinking of you' as it so versatile for so many different types of events.

Hi Trina. I'm so happy to find your blog. I've been lurking on Nancy's site and came here through her - of course, enticed by the blog candy! I LOVE your cards and will be a regular visitor now! As I'm kinda a newbie (who could really use some supplies - hint,hint..lol!) I don't have a blog. For my cards, I like to use poemsource.com for verses. P.S. I live in Calgary but was in Bienfait last year - have friends in Benson! Small world, eh?
