Happy Happy Monkeys

Don't these guys look like they are having some fun?? I wish I could be floating with a balloon right now! I have a bunch of birthdays coming up, so I have got to get a move on some birthday cards. Below are the details for this card...

Stamps: Changito's love balloon - Stampendous, Birthday messages - Hero Arts
Paper: Georgia Pacific CS, Bazzill CS, MME wild asparagus designer paper
Ink: Palette Noir black, SU Basic Black, Versamagic Jumbo Java
Accessories: May arts ribbon, SU cord, brads, crystal effects on the balloon
Techniques: stitching, distressing

Image was colored with my favorite medium...prismacolor pencils and OMS. I used crystal effects on the balloon, and then could have kicked myself!! If you look closely, you will see that I used a SU marker to make a little design on the balloon, and then when using the crystal effects..it ran a little bit!! I swear I was sitting there watching it dry, thinking I totally ruined this card!

Now, I am going back to bed for a little nap. I have a crappy cold..that I can't seem to kick...and I'm sooo tired!! Talk to ya all later!!

You should make sure that you go and check out my Mom's blog - she has 3 high hopes stamps up for grabs!! Here's the link to her blog, Artfully Ila.
My cards also follows the rules for Cute Card Thursday - which is "things with wings" this week. The design team over there is amazing, and I just wish that I had time to participate more often!
Here is the link to Cute Card Thursday.

And now, here is my card!!

Hip Hip Hooray!!

Sorry guys, AGAIN I haven't posted in a while!! I have been working late every night, and then by the time I get supper made and are done with the dishes, it's just about time for bed. We have also had a busy couple of weeks!!
Last weekend my husband and I went to Minot, ND , to go and order some windows for our house. I think I was shocked when I saw how expensive they are. And we still need to buy everything else we need! I had almost gotten my husband talked into a Canon S5 Camera, but he seems to think that maybe we can pick that up next time. Oh well, guess I can't complain too much, I have a pretty good camera now, even if it is a few years old!!

On Wednesday, DH and I went to Regina, so my husband could have an MRI on his knee. The doctors have told him that he has a bakers cyst (which is when the fluid surrounding your knee bursts), but they wanted to check it out further. Had a good day, we were only in the hospital for 2 1/2 hours, could have been alot worse!
** If you are looking for an awesome scrapbooking tote, Costco in Regina has some!! The tag on the shelf said 44.99, but when I went through the till, it rang up as 27.99 and there was another 5.00 off at the till!! I picked one up for a friend of mine.

Here is the card I have been trying to finish all week. Sorry it has taken so long! The image is from my most recent order from stamping bella. What an awesome place to order from, be sure to check it out!! Make sure you click on the card, to see all the glitter!!
The coloring was done with prismacolor pencils and OMS. I distressed the paper around the girls and some of the other pieces with just a sharp edged scissors.

Stamps: Stamping Bella - jumping for joy, Hero Arts - anytime messages
Paper: Georgia Pacific CS, Imagine that CS, Bazzill CS, DCWV The glitter stack
Ink: Palette Noir ink, SU Real Red, Only Orange
Accessories: Baubles from Dollarama, May arts ribbon, unknown button, brads, prima flowers

I have the most exciting news. I am going to be walking in the Relay for Life, in Estevan, Saskatchewan on June 14th!! The walk will start at 7 pm on Saturday night, and go till 7 am the next morning. This walk is to support the Canadian Cancer Society!! I will have more details for you soon!! I really think this is a great cause to support, because Cancer touches so many people in so many ways!

Veggie Bella - Thanks

I was hoping to upload a card last night, but was very busy with a great new friend of mine. We met at her place after work, ordered in supper, she made dessert (yummy strawberries and ice cream), and we spent lots of time sharing ideas and a little stamping. A great time was had by both of us!! She is mostly a scrapbooker, so I got to see some of the most amazing scrapbooks. It made me want to start on my own scrapbook!! I hope we get together again!

And so, my cards are getting uploaded today instead of yesterday. I am just glad that you are actually getting a couple of posts this week!

It's a Jungle out there!!

Hello everyone,
I made a card for last Wednesday's Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. Here's the link to the sketch. I know that some of my new blog readers, have never been to Splitcoast. Please go and check it out then....it's the greatest resource ever for card samples, ideas, and information.
The challenge on this card was to have the center panel of this card no wider then 1 1/2 inches. That's really not very big, so I wasn't sure what kind of image I could use. In order to get it to fit, I had to do the out of the box technique...I think it worked great. The monkey image is by High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Make sure you check out their new releases. They're so cute!!

Here's the card details.
Stamps: High Hopes
Paper: Georgia Pacific cs, bazzill basics cs, MME wild asparagus and magnolia dp, unknows dp
Ink: pallette noir black, SU real read, prismacolor pencils & OMS, twinkling h20's
Accessories: fibers, baubles
Techniques: machine stitching

I'll be back with another card soon! Have a great Tuesday!

Sassy Suzie

I am still a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, but sometimes have trouble using Stampin' Up! stamps, because I like so many other kinds too..but this new set from Stampin' Up! was just too cute NOT to use.
I made this card at a scrapbooking night at our local scrapbooking store (The House of Stationary in Estevan)...if you happen to be in Estevan, SK and have a chance, make sure you go there, because their prices and service is awesome!

Paper: SU chocolate chip, SU whisper white, K&Company designer paper
Ink: Palette Noir ink, SU watercolor crayons, SU white gel pen
Accessories: Prima flowers, may arts ribbon, brads

Also, take a closer look at this Magnolia image....do you notice something??? (click on the card to make it larger)

Anniversary card

Hi girls,
I am so excited, cause I am going home to Melville tomorrow!! I got to take Thursday off as a holiday, so I'm going to be off around 9 am!! Can't wait to spend some more time with my Mom and Sister. We are going to stamp some images, and do some coloring!! Woo Hoo!!
This new card is for my husband parents. They just celebrated what I think was their 33rd wedding anniversary. They were down in Estevan last weekend because my husband bought a new quad in Yorkton, so they had to bring it to him. He is still the most excited guy around. We don't need children, cause I've got a really big one!!
Here are the deets on this bright card!

Stamps: penny black - every which way, kelly panacci borders, MSE sentimental rubz

Paper: georgia pacific, SU pretty in pink, textured black, autumn leaves designer paper

Ink: SU basic black, bravo burgundy, regal rose craft

Accessories: May arts ribbon, maya road chipboard heart, prima flowers, unknown brad.

The image was colored with prismacolor pencils and OMS, and the chipboard heart was inked up, and then sprinkled with SU heat & stick powder, and dazzling diamonds.

I have a magnolia card just about finished, so I should be posting it when I am back on Saturday or Sunday!
I hope everyone has a happy and safe Easter!!

Yipee!!

Oh my goodness, I didn't expect to get so many comments on my last post. Thank you soooo much!!! I sure feel like making more cards/ATC's now!!

I had the most awesome plans to make cards all weekend long. Unfortunately, it didn't happen that way. You see, my husband bought himself a quad this weekend. I think it's an absolutely wonderful purchase for him, because maybe now he will leave me alone on the weekends to work on my cards!! But, his parents came up, and we spent the day with them. And that's pretty much where most of my card making plans went. I did finish one other card though, and hope to get it posted later this week.
Here is one of my cards made last week!!
The Image is from High Hopes. I just love their designs!! They are so much fun to color!!

Here are all the details:

Stamps: High Hopes, Hero arts anytime messages
