No new card, just an old one!

Thanks to those of you who have continued to visit my little blog, even though I haven't had a chance to post on it. By the time I get home from work, make supper, check my email (which includes tons of feeds to different blogs), it's time for bed! I did have time to finish something today, but didn't get a chance to take a picture of it, and it's pretty dark in my little house, I wouldn't get a good picture anyways. So, that post will probably have to wait till I come back from my trip. I will give you a bit of a teaser though....I used a magnolia stamp!! My Mom and I went together to order a bunch of magnolia images, and I will get to pick mine up this weekend!! I can't wait!!

I don't want to leave you totally high and dry though, so I think I found another older card that I can show you.
The card I am showing you, is the very first card I ever made. This is even before I learnt how to color. I am not even sure how the yellow on this card is colored, I really think it is just pencil crayons!!

Also I thought I could show you my scrapbook page from a couple of years ago. I hope you like it. I made it for a display that I had at one of Melville's trade shows. Unfortunately I didn't think to have something there, that my prospective customers could've gotten involved making. I think the sale would have gone so much better that way. They say that hindsight is always 20/20!!

Hope you all have a great weekend. I know I will, cause I am going to see my wonderful family and some great friends!!

Here's an old card!!

Here is one of the old cards that I was telling you about!! I know it's not christmas time, but I'm pretty sure that all my old cards are for christmas.Have a great day!!

An Interesting weekend!

Why is it that sometimes things just don't work out the way you want them to? On Friday night my husband got a phone call around 9 pm, and he told me that he had to go to work.
I don't know if I should admit this, but right away I thought "Woo, Hoo, then I can work on some cards tonight and tomorrow!!"
You see, my husband works for a company that delivers pipe out to different rigs (for the oilfield). The place that he was going, was around 5 hours from Estevan, and he had to get there Saturday morning. So, he left, and was working on getting another persone to go with him (even if the other person can't drive, they can at least help to keep the driver awake). The person who was supposed to go with him, did have a 1A licence, so he could drive for a while too!

To make a long story short, the guy who was coming with him, had some family issues, and couldn't make it, so DH called me at 11 pm, and asked me to get my a** to town, so we could leave on this trip. I thought about it, and figured that I would rather have hime alive then not, so if I could at least help to keep him awake, that would be a good thing.

So at 11:30 pm, we left on our trip.
The trip was good, no problems, only we didn't get back till 3:30pm on Saturday afternoon. By the time I got home and ready for bed it was 6 pm.
I haven't had ANY time to make any cards. I am awake now, but am thinking of laying down for a while. Ya know, I didn't even stay up this long when I was a teenager!!

So I bet by now it's pretty obvious that I have not made any cards this weekend. And I am leaving for Regina tomorrow after work, for a course on Tuesday. Earliest that I might be able to make some cards, is Wednesday night. And we are also planning a trip home this weekend. So, the blog will probably be pretty dry on the card front, I apoligize, and will get something up as soon as I can. For now I just might have to show you guys a few more old cards!!

Sorry I've been MIA

Hi guys,

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I have used up all my cards that I had made, and haven't had ANY time to make any more. I think I spend way to long every day, checking out blogs and facebook! I have some amazing news, just incase you did not go to my Mom's blog recently. She has been accepted on the Magnolia Design Team!! It's no wonder, because her cardmaking skills are FANTASTIC!! Here is the link to her AMAZING blog!!

Since I really don't have anything new to show you, I am showing you a couple of old cards that I made around 3 years ago, when I just had limited supplies, but lots of ideas. It's amazing how your style changes....
The second card is actually made out of a piece of a cardboard box!!

Excellent blogger award and sleep

Hi guys,

Just a quick post before I go to bed. I received the excellent blogger award from my Mom, Ila at artfully ila.

Isn't she sweet, I don't think there is any blog that I like more then my Mom's, but I do get special treatment from her, usually I get to see the card, before it goes on her blog!!
She is one amazing lady!!

Anyways, the rules state that I need to name some more bloggers who have excellent blogs!! Not hard, cause there are so many that I love!!

-So first of all, I want to name my Mom right back! I know that she has already been nominated by a bunch of people, but I don't know anyone more deserving.
Her blog is artfullyila.
-Next person I want to nominate, my Mom nominated too. Her name is Kristine from Cafe Ink. She has been such a great friend to me, since I started blogging, and I am glad that I got the chance to know a bit about her. Her blog is Cafe Ink.
-3rd person, is someone who is on a couple of design teams, and her cards always blow me away. I check all the time to see what she is making!! Her name is Kimmie, from Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner.
-4th person that I want to nominate is: Jo, from We Don't Do Duvets. I actually just found her blog, but I think it is amazing!! She has so much fun and such great ideas!! Wonderful!!
-And the last person to be nominated tonight is.... an awesome site that has the most wonderful magnolia stamps on it. I have recently totally fallen in love with magnolia stamps, and this woman is a total inspiration to me! The website I am talking about is Ink'n'Rubba. I hope you enjoy it, I know I do!
And with that I am off to bed. I'm exausted from the long but great day! My Mom and Dad came down today, and Mom and I spent the day looking at all the scrapbooking and stamping supplies available in Estevan. We had a ball at Dollarama too! Look for more of my cards in the future, to say that supplies are from there!!
G-nite!!

I also went to Minot on the weekend and picked up a cricut. So the Happy Easter was the very first words that I cut out with my new cricut!
